Looking at the severity of the COVID-19 in India, ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) is now allowing students to give exams from home. The Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (CIMA) students will be able to give exams from their respective residential locations online.
The said rule was the conclusion of the discussions held by the institute as the pandemic has led to the closure of all the public gathering places including the examination centers deferring the CIMA Objective Tests and Case Study exams for students all over the globe.
The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, the amalgamation of CIMA and American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) was working for the solution since the beginning of the pandemic.
The major reason behind allowing the students to appear for the examination online from their respective residential locations was to enable the students to continue with their journey to become the (CA) Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) without any hindrance and increase the number of chartered management accountants.
