ICAI Announces Application Dates & Fee for All CA Exams 2025

CA Foundation and CA Intermediate and Foundation exams will be carried out three times a year from this year. The ICAI has announced, raising the ICAI exam phases from two to three. The schedule for online exam form submissions for the May 2025 Chartered Accountancy (CA) Examinations has been announced by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Candidates appearing for Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exams should submit their applications through the ICAI’s online portal: eservices.icai.org.

The CA Final exam will continue to be held only thrice.  Under the official ICAI notification, “The Institute has decided that from May/June 2025 onwards, Intermediate & Foundation course Examinations will be held thrice in a year in May/June, September and January from the existing practice of twice a year and CA Final course examination will continue to be held twice a year in May and November.”

The ICAI CA notification clarified the Foundation and Intermediate course exam requirements. To be eligible for the Foundation exam, students must be registered with the Board of Studies for at least four months before the exam month and meet the other criteria outlined in Regulation 25F. For the Intermediate exam, students must be registered with the Board of Studies and have completed a study course at least eight months before the exam month, in addition to meeting the other requirements in Regulation 28G.

Appear in CA Exam Form 2025

For candidates aspiring to appear in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) exams, the CA Exam Form 2025 is a crucial step that has been carried out via the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). All eligible candidates must fill out the same form to register for the CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exams scheduled throughout the year.

Foundation Course:

1. Appeared in the 12th Standard Board Exam from a recognized Board and his/her 12th Class Admit Card must be uploaded to SSP

2. Passed 12thStandard from a recognized Board and his/her 12th Class Mark sheet must be uploaded in SSP

Intermediate Course

Eligibility criteria for the Intermediate Examination to be carried out in May 2025

The eligibility requirement is an 8-month study course on the first day of the month in which the examination is to be conducted ( May 1st, 2025) i.e. Registered on or before the Cut-off date, 1st September, 2024.

Final Course

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) releases the exam form for the CA Final exam typically 2-3 months before the exam date. Typically, ICAI Releases the CA Final Exam Form in the Following Months:

 • May session: The exam form is usually released in February or March. 

 • November Session: The exam form is usually released in August or September.

In the following months the CA Final exam would be conducted-

 • May Cycle: Exams are held in the first week of May 

 • November Cycle: Exams are held in the first week of November

Conversion Requirement:

For candidates registered under the Old Scheme, it is compulsory to convert on SSP, transitioning from CA Final Old Course to CA Final New Course, CA Intermediate (IPCE) to CA Intermediate. Rs 1,000 is the conversion fee, and for the shift from CA CPT to CA Foundation, it is Rs 500.
