CA Foundation and CA Intermediate and Foundation exams will be carried out three times a year from this year. The ICAI has made an announcement, raising the ICAI exam phases from two to three. The CA Final exam will continue to be held only thrice. Under the official ICAI notification, “The Institute has decided that from May/June 2024 onwards, Intermediate & Foundation course Examinations will be held thrice in a year in the month of May/June, September and January from the existing practice of twice a year and CA Final course examination will continue to be held twice a year in the month of May and November.”
The ICAI CA notification clarified the requirements for taking the Foundation and Intermediate course exams. To be eligible for the Foundation exam, students must be registered with the Board of Studies for at least four months before the exam month and meet the other criteria outlined in Regulation 25F. For the Intermediate exam, students must be registered with the Board of Studies and have completed a study course at least eight months before the exam month, in addition to meeting the other requirements in Regulation 28G.
The application forms for the Chartered Accountant (CA) exams, overseen by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), are now available for the exams taking place in September and November of 2024. The exam form for the CA intermediate level for the September 2024 exams was released on July 7, 2024. At icai.org candidates can submit their forms online without a late fee until July 20, 2024.
