On the occasion of 72nd Chartered Accountants Day on 1st July 2020, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is hosting its first virtual National CA Summit 2020. The virtual National CA Summit 2020 is already started from June 29 to July 01, 2020.
It is a 3-day summit and the theme of this year is “Transforming the Future: Enabling Excellence, Augmenting Trust”. However, the complete summit has been divided into different sessions and it is scheduled for afternoons. Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha, Mr. Om Birla is the Chief Guest of this virtual National CA Summit 2020.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is the national professional accounting body of our nation. It was established on July 1, 1949 as a statutory body as per the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 enacted by the Parliament to regulate the profession of Chartered Accountancy in India.
The Official Brochure states that “The ICAI played a vital role in developing a flexible but stable reporting framework for the continued economic growth of the nation in the last seven decades. The accountancy profession has endeavored to bring in the best global practices and standards to put in place the robust financial reporting and assurance framework, inspiring trust and confidence amongst the stakeholders”.
