ICAI: Crackdown on Fake CA Certificates Intensifies

In the country, the latest procedure executed to concern with the people who scam the system through the use of bogus CA certificates would be proving good. 

In a faster way, the Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN) made by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is generated. According to the evidence, individuals used to certify documents by posing as CAs in both government bids and bank audits.

As per ICAI president Aniket Sunil Talati, nearly 5 cr UIDINs would get created in the country as of 12th April in the same year and 1.38 lakh members have registered. For all kinds of certification, GST and tax audit reports, and other audits, UDIN would be needed. These attestation functions should get signed by full-time Chartered accountants.

Portal released problems solution 

According to Aniket Talati, the ICAI has given the government various recommendations addressing the problems with the platform. Implementing these suggestions is still a work in progress.

Additionally, a contact centre has been developed where professionals may discuss their problems and obtain answers.
