Paying heed to the prevailing situation caused due to COVID-19 outbreak in India, ICAI has decided to allot provisional admissions in Foundation Course. Registrations are open for students who have the admit card or have already appeared in some of the papers of the XII grade examination.
The students who aspire to pursue Chartered Accountancy (CA) and are stuck because of the postponement of class XII final examination (that were to be held in March) are now allowed to register for Foundation (on provisional basis).
The step is initiated by the ICAI to facilitate entry for the students who wish to pursue CA training but are stuck due to postponement of the 12-grade final examination. Looking at the situation, ICAI has granted relaxation in the eligibility criteria for pursuing CA Foundation training.

Here is the new eligibility criterion for provisional admissions in CA Foundation level:
- Due dates for registration for Foundation Course is 30 June 2020.
- Only those can apply for the training who have already acquired the admit card or have given one/two papers for XII grade final exams.
- Candidates applying for the training should have the admit card or any other relevant document of the organization recognized by the Central or State Government. Same as the condition while applying for the graduation course.
- Students who successfully complete the training will appear in the November month Foundation Examination this year (only after passing the 12-grade examination along with the training).
Students who are willing to apply for the provisional registration to the foundation can visit the official site of ICAI and register the mselves for the course.
