The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the postponement of the Chartered Accountants (CA) Final and Intermediate examinations that were scheduled for September 3rd and 4th, 2025, at select centres in Punjab and Jammu City.
As per the ICAI’s Examination Department, an official announcement cited that, due to continuous rainfall and the resulting flood situation in specific regions, the decision was taken. The affected centres are located in Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala, and Jammu City.
As per the announcement, the same amendment applies to those particular cities in Punjab and Jammu City. The CA Final and Intermediate exams for all other examination centres in the country will be conducted according to the announced schedule of 3rd and 4th September.
The Institute has announced that revised dates for the postponed exams will be communicated separately in due course. Students scheduled to take exams at the affected centres are advised to regularly check the official ICAI website (www.icai.org) for the latest updates and detailed information.

This decision follows reports of persistent heavy rains and widespread flooding in parts of Punjab and Jammu, which have affected normal life and transportation services in several districts. Seeing the weather conditions, the students’ safety and exam personnel are being prioritized by the authorities.
