ICAI announces One Time Measure

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is the national professional accounting body of India and in the last few weeks, it has already made various modifications in the courses, schedule, practicals and eligibility. And this time ICAI came up with the one-time measure for Completion of MCS Course and Advanced IT Course.

ICAI introduced Virtual Mode for students of MCS Course and Advanced IT Course, who have qualified the Final Exam or having the result of exams conducted in May 2019 and November 2019 and also for students of Final course exam which is expected in July 2020 and November 2020 months.

ICAI issued a communication and stated that due to the COVID 19 pandemic, countrywide lockdown the IT and Soft Skills Classes are suspended all over the country and in this view Competent Authority made a decision that as a one-time measure students of Final course exam which is expected in July 2020 and November 2020 months and students of qualified the Final Exam or having the result of exams conducted in May 2019 and November 2019 can experience the classes of MCS and Advanced IT Course through the Virtual Mode by going through virtualmcs.icai.org. The portal is under development and it is expected to be LIVE on June 1, 2020.

ICAI through the issued communication stated that students who partially completed the Course can now complete the remaining part through the virtual mode and students who have not started the course can complete the course through the virtual mode. ICAI also made it clear that students who paid the fee for physical classes through the online portal icaionlineregistration.org don’t require to pay the fees again for the virtual mode classes.
