The University Grant Commission stated that the needs of Chartered Accountants (CA), Company Secretaries (CS), and Cost Accountants will be held similar to PG Degree for appearing in UGC Net.
UGC had given requests from the Institue of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) to recognize the qualification provided through them Le, Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS) and Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA) each, similar to Postgraduate Degree.

To recognize the same a committee was built on 18/02/2021 through UGC the commission in its 550 meetings directed while acknowledging the recommendation of the expert committee and solved it beneath “CA/CS/ICWA qualification be considered equivalent to PG Degree.”
