Four-Weeks Residential Programs Announced by ICAI for Young CAs and Students

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has recently announced a four-week residential program for students who have cleared Chartered Accountant/ IPCC/ PCC/ PE-II examination and are pursuing last year of articleship training or completed the same with an underlying purpose of professional skills development.

ICAI has also briefed that separate programs will be organized for male and female students. To add more, the ones who have recently qualified the Chartered Accountants can also enrol in the programme.

The men’s training programme will start from July 12, 2019, to August 7, 2019, at the Centre of Excellence, Jaipur. On the other hand, for girls, the training programme will commence from July 29, 2019, to August 25, 2019, at the Centre of Excellence, Hyderabad.

    ICAI during the announcement stated, “This programme offers a unique opportunity and would focus on the development of communication skills, leadership skills, personal traits for effective functioning in business organization and profession. Keeping in view the basic emphasis of the programme on Development of Communication and Writing skills and also to imbibe confidence in the participants the content of the programme have been thoroughly revised. More emphasis is given on soft skills, developing personality trait and communication skills of the participants by allocating more time towards these topics.”

    For registration, an upfront 20% of the total fee (i.e., INR 9600 or full fee INR 48,000) can be paid by students through the Credit card or Net Banking facility using the online registration portal. Well, the registration would also be First-come-First-serve basis, subject to logical criteria.
