ICSI Unveils CS Mitr Referral Scheme to Earn Rewards

An innovative referral program named the “CS Mitr Scheme” has been introduced by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India ( ICSI ) that has the motive to prompt its Company Secretary ( CS ) Executive Programme. The scheme proposes a chance for individuals to earn rewards by referring the students to register for the program.

Becoming a CS Mitr is Based on the Following Criteria:

The CS Mitr Scheme is open for a diverse range of participants who satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

  1. Age Requirement: Any individual above 18 years of age can become a CS Mitr.
  2. Eligible Participants: CS Members, current CS students, teachers at schools and colleges, students from other universities, retired ICSI employees, housewives, and young adults are all qualified.
  3. Exclusions: Employees of ICSI (both regular and contractual), Council Members, Regional Council Members, Managing Committee Members of Chapters, Consultants, and Auditors are not qualified to participate in this scheme.

Structure of Incentive Programs

For each successful referral participants in the CS Mitr Scheme will receive a monetary incentive-

  • Incentive Amount: Rs. 500 per student registered in the Executive Programme.
  • Conditions: The incentive is within the applicable tax deductions and is merely valid for the registrations in the categories where fee concessions are not subjected to be applicable. 

Application Process and Payment Process 

interested individuals who wish to become a CS Mitr should apply via an online process. Once their credentials are verified and they are enrolled with ICSI as a CS Mitr, they will be assigned a unique referral code. New students should enter the same code if they are enrolling for the Executive Programme.

Payment Method: The incentive payments would be transferred to the registered bank accounts of CS Mitrs via NEFT, managed by the Directorate of Finance and Accounts.

Verification: It is needed for the CS Mitrs to furnish their PAN information for taxation and statutory compliance purposes.

ICSI has the authority to reject any applicant or stop the financial advantages if any misconduct or use of illegal practices is discovered. In these cases, the decision of the Institute will be final. Also, all the CS Mitrs should agree to maintain any proprietary data confidentiality accessed during their association with ICSI.
