The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) had adjusted various things due to the coronavirus outbreak and now due to the same ICSI made an announcement on Tuesday, about the addition of 45 new exam centres for the CS December Exam 2020 on ad hoc basis.
ICSI made this decision to avoid difficulty students might face and to also avoid over-crowding at the examination centres to appear in the CS, Executive Program Professional Program and Foundation Program examinations to be held in December.
As per the official announcement “In view of the opening of New Centres, the facility of selection/change of New Examination Centres by Students for appearing in December 2020 CS Examinations will be available from Saturday, 26th September 2020 to Friday 9th October 2020 to all such students who wish to select the New Centre in place of already selected some other centres. This facility will be available free of cost to all such students for a one-time change of examination centre.”

With the addition of more examination centres now candidates will have the option to opt for new exam centres as well as the existing centres while enrolling for Company Secretaries December 2020 Exam as stated in the released notification.
The notification also features the name of 45 new exam centres. According to it two new zones namely Zone-VII and Zone-VIII have been added in Mumbai, similarly, one additional new zone named Zone-IV has been added in Thane.
Previously, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India merged the CS June 2020 exams with the CS December 2020 exams and allowed the students of the June session to appear in the CS December exams 2020. A similar merger of sessions has been also made to all exams including foundation, executive (both old and new syllabus), professional (old and new syllabus), and Post Membership Qualification- PMQ course examinations.
