Q1. As the period of absence letting out of lockdown due to COVID -19 w.e.f 24th March 2020 till 3rd May 2020 will be counted as leave or an articleship for the candidates who are previously enrolled and go through the Practical Training as on 24th March 2020.

Ans. The period of absence emerging out of lockdown due to COVID -19 pandemic w.e.f 24th March 2020 till 3rd May 2020 will be counted as Practical Training for the preceding term for the students who have previously enrolled and passed with the Practical Training as on 24th March 2020. 

Q2. As the period of absence grows out of lockdown due to COVID -19 pandemic w.e.f 24th March 2020 till 3rd May 2020 has to be counted as leave or being on articleship for the scholars who were already on examination leaves during the said period.

The time of absence w.e.f 24th March 2020 till 3rd May 2020 will be carried to be counted as leave for those students who have previously been on examination leave through the said period. 

Q3. Whether the intervening period arising out of the lockdown / unlock down due to COVID -19 pandemic w.e.f 4th May 2020 till 31st August 2020 will be count as leave or as articleship for the students who are then enrolled and is going through the Practical Training.

The intervening period might be handled as being on articleship in which the articled assistants have been urged to work from home or unless due to varied scenarios described below:

1) The residence of the Article is in containment Zone

2) The office of the Principal is in containment Zone

3) Non- availability of public transport.

4) There is yet full/incomplete lockdown in some states even after unlockdown.

Directed to lasting guidance/information of the administrator by articled assistants.

Though due to non- abiding of guidelines/counselling for the principal by articled assistants, the intervening period will be handled as Leave and an individual has to give the surplus period of leaves beneath the identical principal uniquely.

Q4. Whether there will be any consequence on the eligibility of presence in Intermediate/final test due to shortfall in the required service period/extension of articleship.

The eligibility to present in Intermediate/Final examinations for these candidates have not been affected because of the shortfall in needed service term of articleship. Administration of ICAI accepts that due to surplus leaves in the middle of 4th May 2020 to 31st August 2020, the extension for these students will not seek. In different words, students will be entitled to appear in the identical trial of Intermediate/Final examination where they were assumed to perform.

Though, these scholars shall pretend to obey and finish the endure/excess tenure of Practical Training in the same principal.

Students have to note that practical training is the part of the CA curriculum so that they prepare themselves to the benchmark for the future and should be completed not only from the view of the lawful context of the agreement under CA Act and Regulations but the value that practical education teaches in students.

Q5. What will be the ability of stipend for the period during lockdown/unlockdown

For the ability of stipend is selected commonly by the Principal and on the basis of an article in the connection as the student’s works and present within these days.
