The Institute of Companies Secretary of India (ICSI) stated that the CS Students might now claim the Opt-Out facility from December 2020 to June 2021 Exam Session and not specifying any reason.
In the 272nd meeting which was on 19th Dec 2020, the department has held that the opt-out facility is prolonged for all candidates for June 2020 (merged with Dec 2020) and Dec 2020 session of examination.
The ICSI has declared that the Students can claim the “Opt-Out” option, excluding specifying any cause.
From the December 2020 sessions, a one time option might be provided to the candidates of examinations by carrying the credit of examination fee to June 2021 examinations.
The last date to request the claim for the “Opt-Out” facility excluding mentioning any particular cause is 31st December 2020.
“Notwithstanding the last date of 31st December 2020 as mentioned above, if any student is availing “Opt Out” facility by submitting “Covid-19 Positive” certificate as per the earlier announcement dated 04.12.2020, the last date for submitting the request shall remain the same i.e. 15th January, 2021,”
The request will get rejected by the institute which clears that if any candidates submit the request for claiming the opt-out facility post appearing for all the papers of the module for which they are entitled to sit in Dec 2020 session of the exam. For December 2020 the session will be entitled as cancelled and his/her candidature will be forward to the June 2021 session said by the institute on the receipt of the opt-out request online form. If the request is submitted then it will be entitled as final along with that any alterations in the application will not be considered.
