The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) circulated the notice to SEBI Company Secretaries’ new recognition beneath SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) (Amendment) Regulations, 2022.
While the institute in promotion of its regular endeavors to offer fresh opportunities to its members has been giving recommendations on multiple draft rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines, and so on circulated by Ministries, Government organizations, and Regulatory individuals in the recent field of training and employment.
In this way, the institute builts the representations and submit its view suggestions/comments on various Consultation/Discussion Papers/Reports provided by SEBI and sought opportunities towards its members across the area of Securities Laws.

“We are pleased to inform you that the SEBI has bestowed upon the profession of Company Secretaries a new recognition under the SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) (Amendment) Regulations, 2022 issued vide Gazette Notification dated 14th January 2022, to issue a Certificate of Compliance to the issuer certifying that the proposed preferential issue is being made in accordance with the SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018,” the ICSI commented.
However, ICSI has shown heartfelt appreciation to SEBI for lounging the spirit in the occupation of Company Secretaries.
